Business Development Representative

*PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:*

• Prospect new sales opportunities by performing a high volume of outbound calls in order to secure new business and build relationships
• Grow revenue base from scratch, by identifying and closing new business without territory restrictions
• Track and report weekly activity relative to calls made, conversations had, and appointments scheduled
• Provide exemplary customer service/relationship management and consultative selling
• Promptly follow up with and qualify marketing-generated inquiries for Focus Displays’ services
• Research and gather information about target markets and develop prospecting lists
• Document all activities and interactions in CRM tool
• Efficiently manage prospect pipeline to produce the maximum amount of results
• Accomplish targeted performance objectives on a consistent basis

*MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & JOB REQUIREMENTS:*

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and learn quickly
• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience doing, inside sales, outside sales, telesales, business (B2B) to business sales, face to face sales, retail sales, commercial sales, territory sales, territory development, business development, door to door sales, route sales, advertising sales, online sales, or direct to consumer sales (B2B experience preferred)
• Associates/Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or other relevant field OR equivalent work experience
• Possess a high energy, strong desire to achieve top results with a charismatic, positive “can-do” attitude over the phone and in-person
• Highly organized, flexible and ability to work necessary hours in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills
• Outstanding phone presence with the ability to create trust with prospective clients
• Self-motivated and driven to plan and execute rigorous lead generation sales calls
• CRM application experience
• Trade show and event experience preferred
• Flexible and interested in a company with solid growth opportunity
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Google, Internet Explorer, Skype, etc.
• Experience in a medium to long sell cycle preferred

Account Executive

The Account Executive role will be focused on driving new business from prospecting and inbound leads. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of exceeding quota, and a consultative approach to selling, with strong analytical and communication skills. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is looking to both manage relationships and develop new business with clients both large and small.

The Responsibilities:

  • Work with Vice President of Sales, Account Director & assigned Account Managers, providing all necessary support for client’s existing marketing programs.
  • Drive a high volume of sales through managing the complete sales process from prospecting to close.
  • Assist in preparation of proposals from cost estimates for construction projects or services requested.
  • Monitor production process to ensure that all project objectives are accomplished and are on time.
  • Develop consultative sales presentations to demonstrate Focus Displays’ value proposition.
  • Cultivate business development skills as needed to negotiate deals, close business, and increase sales.
  • Mentor new team members as our organization grows.
  • Effectively manage your sales pipeline and develop a strategy for long-term sustained success.

The Necessary Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an approved Regional or Nationally Accredited school.
  • Trade show and event experience required.
  • 1-5 years of sales or account management experience
  • Strong communication/organizational & presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office & PowerPoint.
  • Highly organized, flexible and ability to work necessary hours in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment

Project Manager

The Project Manager is responsible for directing exhibit projects through the production process, ensuring on time completion according to quality standards, budget and client expectations. They work with the Sales Department in pre-sale activities necessary to secure the award of potential new business.

The Responsibilities:

  • For Asset Management Clients, the Project Manager will work closely with the Account Manager to ensure a seamless client experience.
  • Upon award, the assigned Project Manager will work closely with clients, the graphics department, vendors and suppliers, the custom department, the service department and the accounting department.

The Necessary Experience:

  • Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or 4+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous computer experience with MS Office Products such as Word and Excel is required.
  • Must have good typing skills, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be highly organized.
  • Previous database and trade show experience are a plus.
  • Customer service experience and a positive attitude are required.
  • This job requires the ability to manage multiple projects on a tight time schedule and maintain attention to detail.
  • Quick learner with proven ability to operate in a fluid, fast-paced environment

Exhibit Designer

Come and be part of a fun, creative environment with a team-oriented atmosphere. Focus Displays is looking for a full-time experience designer who can concept, design and present amazing work. We need someone with a broad skill set with experience designing a full range of exhibits, corporate interiors, and event environments. Design is at the forefront of our process: our designers drive projects from start to finish. They must be adept from concept inception through drawings/models for estimating and production. Familiarity with current trends in design, build materials and technology application in exhibits is a must.

The Responsibilities:

  • Provide design visuals to communicate creative concepts to client, account executive, estimating & production.
  • Prepare for, attend, and drive the creative portion of the proposal presentation to the client.
  • Maintain integrity of creative through entire project process (estimating, detailing and shop construction).
  • Passionate about brand communication in a physical environment.
  • Comfortable working independently or part of a team.
  • Ensure creative solutions presented to client are meeting client’s objectives and budget guidelines.
  • Prepare & maintain divisional design schedule and work with General Manager in addressing in project schedule conflicts.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, attend trade shows, industry conventions/seminars and read/subscribe to design-related publications.

The Necessary Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in designing tradeshow exhibits, environments and events.
  • Advanced rendering skills in Strata, 3DS Max or similar 3D software.
  • Knowledge of fabrication techniques – custom, modular, tension fabric, etc.
  • In-depth understanding of structural principles.
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator.
  • Knowledge of cad software (Vectorworks, Solidworks, AutoCad) is preferable.
  • Highly organized, flexible and ability to work necessary hours in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.

CAD Detailer

Focus Displays is looking for a CAD Detailer to work in a fast-paced environment, coordinating with an experienced staff of designers, project managers and cabinet makers.  This position will be based in our San Diego, CA location with some travel as required.

The Responsibilities:

  • Create accurate CAD drawings from design renderings, sketches or photos.
  • Measure existing exhibit elements for creation of accurate CADs.
  • Generate a bill of materials for all items used in the exhibit structure.
  • Create labeled assembly drawings for all aspects of exhibit setup.
  • Detail custom elements of exhibit for cutting on CNC router.
  • Identify structural issues and develop workable solutions.
  • Manage the deadlines and requirements of multiple projects.
  • Detail build drawings for fabrication using various methods of construction.

The Necessary Experience:

  • The applicant should be proficient in AutoCAD software, both two-dimensional detailing and 3D modeling.  Knowledge of router software and/or Adobe software is a plus.

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and/or three or more years professional experience in exhibit design, interior design, architecture or related field.
